When we were looking for a new home in Vancouver, we wanted a townhouse with a private entrance, lots of space, and a separate garage rather than a parkade. We also wanted a good neighbourhood that is close to amenities without being too busy. It took over a year to find, but we got everything we wanted with 7641 Manitoba Street.
This townhouse checks all the boxes. At 1,700 square feet, it is almost 50% larger than most other 3-bedroom townhouses in Vancouver, and at a comparable price. Plus, there are very few townhouse complexes in the city where we could have our own two-car garage.
We love relaxing on the large patio and two balconies, and the whole family enjoys the indoor saltwater pool, jacuzzi and dry sauna in the complex’ Leisure Centre. Most days there is no one else there, so we have the whole place to ourselves.
We’ve made many friends in the community, and the strata is very proactive. There are at least two strata parties every year, which are very well-attended. Everyone takes pride in living at Langara Springs, and it shows in the beauty of the property.
Over the years we’ve made many improvements to modernize and maintain our home, including: updates to the kitchen and bathrooms; new plumbing throughout the house, with a leak detection and shut-off system, and new hot water tank; a new fireplace insert; new lighting; extensive landscaping and gardening; and much more. The strata has also updated the roofs, repainted the exterior, and follows the engineering recommendations and depreciation report to keep the complex well-maintained.
While we love our home, and would like to stay, our family is growing, so it is time to get a bigger place. We’re going to stay in the neighbourhood, though, because we love the people, the schools, the parks, and the proximity to everything.
